The best view of the
whole western Diamir-side of Nanga Parbat one gets from the area just behind the last
summer-settlement Khudu Gali. This green flat area at an altitude of about 3,800m is
normally used for as an alpine-pasture for sheeps, goats and cows - and sometimes as
"First Basecamp" for the arriving foreigners, to have them nice and far away
from the local houses and families.
